Iron, moss green honey and chun

The pot below looks as if it has just been dug up. The brown is an iron oxide slip. The wiped back glaze is moss green by Simone Frazer. If you apply honey glaze then a chun#2 glaze to the rim and fire at 1300C, this is what you get. It looks a bit faded to me but a classmate liked it best of all my pots. Just as well we all have different tastes.

  1. These are really interesting. The contrast between the slip and gloss glaze is eye-catching. Love the interior moss green too.
